1. Dig In

“I spend a lot of time working in our vegetable garden. It’s a rewarding experience and a great upper body workout, especially whenever I’ve got a lot of digging and tilling to do to prepare the soil for planting.”

2. Walk It Out

“My family loves to go for a walk on East Brow. Not only is it a nice view, but it’s a great time to reconnect and get in a good workout. Pushing a double stroller (with an added 60 pounds) on the hills of the mountain will always get my heart rate up!”

3. Multi-Task

“I often find myself having to bounce my youngest to sleep for his naps. So, I try to add in small squats or calf raises to help my legs get a little extra workout in.”

4. Take a Swing

“When I can find a few hours to get away, I enjoy playing golf with my husband. I’m just learning, so I have to take a lot of swings to keep up with the group – my back and arms get sore! It’s an enjoyable activity and a good workout.”

5. Strike a Pose

“Yoga is my favorite form of exercise for both my mind and body, and you can do it anywhere. I always feel invigorated at the end of a warm vinyasa. It’s the best combination of clearing my mind, challenging my muscles, and setting my intentions.”

Kathryn is a mother of two who enjoys cooking, gardening, and spending time with family and friends. “I don’t usually have a lot of time to myself, so I try to incorporate small changes in my day-to-day routine,” she says.
