Morning Pointe

Morning Pointe Senior Living & Memory

construction site situated on the 9700 block of East Brainerd Road will soon be home to a growing population of seniors. Named Morning Pointe of East Hamilton Assisted Living and Alzheimer’s Memory Care, the 24-acre campus marks Morning Pointe’s sixth location in the Tennessee Valley and joins a network of senior living communities serving more than 1,600 residents. The new location is set to open fall 2019. “Our sixth location is a direct response to the rapid population growth in East Hamilton, from the areas of East Brainerd, North Georgia, Apison, and Ooltewah. What we are seeing is that many adults who have moved to Hamilton County for work are also bringing along their aging parents and other family members, due to the unparalleled quality of life, beautiful weather, cost of living, and support system,” says Greg A. Vital, co-founder and president of Morning Pointe Senior Living.

With state-of-the-art amenities planned and a thoughtfully laid-out design, Morning Pointe of East Hamilton will provide a truly home-like atmosphere. The campus will offer 53 assisted living apartments and 20 Alzheimer’s Memory Care apartments, with multiple floor plan options to accommodate a variety of lifestyles and needs. “Designed with accessibility and comfort in mind, each floor plan takes into consideration the necessary living space that residents need for sleeping, entertaining, and personal possessions,” Vital says. Residents’ spacious apartments will feature stylish furnishings and contemporary elements. Outside of the apartments, common areas such as living rooms, dining rooms, and porches are available for residents’ use to promote socialization among residents. “Since loneliness is such a concern for this age group, it’s important for us to create an environment that enhances residents’ social well-being,” Vital says. “Our design reflects that.”

“Living in a retirement community and assisted living facility allows for an individual to participate in an enormous amount of activities to keep the body active and mind and soul fulfilled.”

Similar to other Morning Pointe communities, the campus will provide around-the-clock nursing care from licensed staff, as well as a variety of programs for family members and residents. Educational programs and support groups, including Alzheimer’s support groups, are available for families to maximize their time with their family members. Active residents will be able to take advantage of landscaped walking trails and a workout station, and a variety of local, farm-fresh foods will be served at every mealtime thanks to Morning Pointe’s “Farm to Table” program. Included in the daily activities are innovative therapeutic programs, such as physical and occupational therapies, to ensure the highest quality care for residents. “Living in a retirement community and assisted living facility allows for an individual to participate in an enormous amount of activities to keep the body active and mind and soul fulfilled,” Vital says. “Morning Pointe has continually worked to improve life enrichment activities, field trips into the community, and educational programs to encourage a lifetime of learning.”

Morning Pointe’s winning formula is drawing interest from the East Hamilton community, and according to Amy Clarke, vice president of corporate communications, many seniors and families have already been reserving their senior living apartments. “While families are happy to have a premier senior living campus in their neighborhood, they are more excited about the fact that it’s Morning Pointe Senior Living – a locally owned and operated company with over 20 years of experience serving seniors,” Clarke says. “20 years is a long time,” adds Rob Pollard, divisional vice president of operations for Tennessee. “It means that everybody knows us; it means that we are a benchmark for other organizations that see what we do in the area and try to do what we do. It’s really nice to be a part of a team of people who have been doing this so long.”

“With the growing number of people living longer and searching for more retirement options and relocating to Chattanooga, we believe Morning Pointe is the perfect place for families in the Tennessee Valley who are looking for quality health care services to call home,” says Vital.
